Q&A with past Float for Dreams participant and Sunshine dream recipient Daniel

Daniel is a 16-year-old teenager from Waterloo, Ontario. He enjoys playing sledge hockey, playing board games and watching movies.
He and his family were invited to attend Sunshine Float For Dreams 2017 on a sponsored raft.

Daniel Costa Rica DreamQ: Sunshine made your most cherished dream come true. Can you tell us about your Sunshine dream?
A: I went to Costa Rica with my family.

Q: What was your most favorite part of your dream?
A: Taking a boat ride through the rainforest canals where I got to see an iguana, monkeys, a Cayman, a huge river turtle, and lots of cool birds.

Q: Why was your dream important to you?
A: I got to take a trip out of the country with my family to a place I may not have gone otherwise.

Q: Thank you for floating with us last year at Sunshine Float for Dreams.  Did you have fun on the river with your family? What did it feel like to float down the river in a big raft?
A: Yes I had fun. It was lots of fun!

Q: What was your most favourite part of the day?
A: The WHOLE day!

Q: Did you have a favorite challenge on the water?
A: The water gun challenge

Q: If you could invite a celebrity or super hero on your team raft, who would it be and why?
A: Tyler Joseph from the band Twenty One Pilots because he likes to have fun and he’s good at video games so he probably would be really good at the challenges.

Q: Do you have any fun ideas for this year’s teams to decorate their rafts or dress up?
A: Dress up like an 80’s band (ie. KISS)

Q: Is there another game or challenge we should have on the water this year?
A: Some kind of fishing game.

Q: Parents and child: Do you have any advice for new teams participating in 2018?
A: Wear quick dry clothing
