Earlier in 2018, Pizza Nova opened two new locations in London, Ontario, located at 850 Wellington Road and 1194 Highbury Avenue North. To celebrate their expansion in the London market, they wanted to host an event that would give back to the community and reached out to Sunshine. Pizza Nova kicked off the holiday season in the best way possible – by raising funds for Sunshine!
Between November 26 and December 7, 2018, Pizza Nova London locations held the Pizza Nova 12 Days of Christmas campaign. Over these 12 days, $1 from every order placed with Pizza Nova London locations was donated to Sunshine to help make dreams come true for children living with severe physical disabilities or life-threatening illnesses.
To kick off the campaign, Pizza Nova and Sunshine came together to host an event at both locations on November 26. We met with customers, took photos with Sunshine Bear, and shared information about Sunshine’s mission. Sunshine alumni, Jordan, Emily-Marie, and Matthew, were also in attendance to share their stories and talk about their Sunshine Dream and DreamLift experiences.
Pizza Nova proudly presented Sunshine with a cheque for $1,894! “We are so grateful and excited to be selected as the charitable recipient for the Pizza Nova 12 Days of Christmas campaign,” said Nancy Sutherland, CEO of The Sunshine Foundation of Canada. “The support of London Pizza Nova employees and customers is vital to helping us fulfil our mission and ensure more dreams will come true here in London and across Canada. Their generosity will have an incredible impact, helping children improve their confidence, independence, and changing their lives forever.”
Thank you to Pizza Nova London staff and customers for making our holiday season merry and bright!
